Half Past Five

The Bible says " It is therefore a holy and wholesome thought to pray for the dead, that they may be loosed from sins" (2 Maccabees 12:46) " and as Catholics we spend time in prayers for those who have gone before us.

It has been a long while since I last visited Lola Lilia's grave. When I got there , it doesn't look like how  a burial place usually looks like.  It's zen inspired and it's beautiful. That's what it takes to have architects in the family.

The visit may be quick and short but it was all good. I get to spend time with the people close to my heart whom I no longer regularly see.

with Lolo Dadong

I've always wished I had an opportunity to meet any of my grandfathers. I can imagine how I would have been their favorite granddaughter. Lolo Dadong  stood as the grandfather that I never met through a marriage that didn't work. Although the unity ended years ago, he never made me feel that I don't belong in the family anymore. He is a man of few words. He dresses sharply and his toes are clean. I can imagine him when he was young, he must have been dapper indeed.

To the Dumadags, I am so grateful in many things. And to Lolo and Lola, Thank YOU!
