First Day in the Land Down Under

First day in the land down under. The family so warm and welcoming whom  I’m staying with temporarily showed me around the suburb of Oz.

We strolled along the You (not me) , You Yangs Regional Park. Its peaks is of granite  . They have a park for picnics; trails for mountain bikers and humongous rocks for rock climbers and abseiler. It’s a scenic and a fresh place to take a hike with friends and family. We climbed to the big rocks overlooking a vast horizon. It was so cold up on the hill I could feel my knees shiver.

As we drove up farther, we stopped at Werribee Gorg State Park. Still a vast place for hiking or walking. Australians must love walking. Of course I did a photo op of me looking like a date stood me up. Poor thing.

..... as a crow looked down on me with pity.

Then we went to see skippy in Serendip Sanctuary. The renowned kangaroo that Australia is known for.  Serendip is a haven for wild birds and mammals.

A paparazzo shot of skippy. Terrified to be skipped and stepped on by skippy, so I stayed only at a distance trying to get a zoomed photo from my mobile phone. This is the closest that I got. I hope you can see him/her ( I can’t tell ) camouflaging  from the dried woods and leaves.
