It was 4 o’ clock in the morning. It is unpleasant to take a shower on a cold winter morning, but I had to. I was scheduled for training in a high care nursing home facility on an early morning shift. Anyhow, I showered; put on my uniform, prepared my packed breakfast, lunch and coffee, then I took off. The 3-blocks walk to the station was fascinating; I can hear the bird whistling a happy tune. However, for a moment, I got scared and sceptic. I kept looking behind my back to check if someone was following. Amazingly, I never heard birds sing like that. It sounded like the one Katnis mimicked in the movie Hunger games. Moving on, I arrived to the train station 10 minutes before the scheduled departure; time to take photos and some failed selfy’s. I waited and waited, but the train did not show up. Then came a replacement bus, a bus that will take us, me and i-don’t-know -who to another train station. As the bus driver opened the door, he said “Welcome! This is a free ride! “. It felt a bit strange. “Am I dead now? “, I thought. It reminded me of the bus picking up souls in the movie “Heart and Souls”. Crazy thought, I know. Anyway, I got to the next train station and took the train earlier than expected. I arrived to my destination three quarters before the scheduled assembly. Sometimes, things do not always go as planned. There are and will always be reasons to all the changes and the detours. A midst it all, take a glimpse on the bright side. When I arrived to the facility, I had ample time to savour my breakfast and time to settle and set my mind for the task of the day.
Selfie selfie rin sa train before training pag may time? Parang ikaw lang talaga ang tao ha...
